Ellen Malcolmson

Ellen Malcolmson is the Principal of Ellen Malcolmson Executive Coaching Inc.  Ellen’s coaching practice is grounded in her extensive senior leadership experience and her passion for partnering with her clients to enable them build confidence in their strengths and capabilities. 

Ellen coaches from a truly unique perspective; she brings an understanding of the corporate world from her experience as a senior executive in one of Canada’s largest companies, an appreciation for the challenges of both operating and governing in the public sector from her work as both CEO and Board Chair at a large Ontario hospital and the delicate balance of multiple stakeholders relationships required as CEO of a national health charity. 

For the past five years, Ellen has focused on supporting leaders as an executive coach and strategic advisor. Ellen also partners with clients to develop and deliver customized leadership development programs focused on building a succession pipeline of values-driven, authentic high potential leaders.  Her clients span a variety of industries including; financial services, commercial real estate, media, health care, telecom and the not for profit sectors. 

In her individual coaching engagements, Ellen has a special interest in working with senior leaders who are at tipping points in their careers; stepping in to increased leadership accountabilities, seeking new roles and searching to enhance their leadership effectiveness and the performance of their teams. 

Ellen brings extensive governance experience to her coaching work. She is currently the Chair of the Governance Committee on Board of Directors of St. Joseph’s Health Centre where she served as Board Chair from 2012 to 2015. Ellen has also served as the a board chair of Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke, and as a board member at the Ontario Hospital Association, GO Transit, McMaster University, the Shaw Festival and Junior Achievement.

Ellen’s commitments to her community and her success as a business leader were recognized when she was inducted into McMaster University’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2004. Ellen is a member of the International Coach Federation, the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the International Women’s Forum. She has been a keynote speaker at the acclaimed Women of Influence speaker series.

Ellen is a Certified Executive Coach and holds the ACC designation of the International Coach Federation. She is also certified in the administration of the Birkman Assessment.   Ellen is an alumni of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Leadership Fellowship program and the Judy Project.  She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Political Science from McMaster University, a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University and a certification in Team Coaching from Georgetown University.


Marcey Legget

Marcey Leggett

Marcey is a seasoned leadership consultant with over 25 years of management and consulting experience. Specializing in client relationship management and leadership development, Marcey has been initiating and implementing organizational change, process improvement and customer satisfaction programs resulting in improved employee and customer satisfaction.
Her strategic and hands-on operational leadership experience with large enterprise and non-profit organizations has equipped Marcey with proven approaches for success. Her diverse background enables her to lead many types of projects; she has the proven ability to quickly analyze a project and identify client-specific requirements.  

Marcey is an energetic professional who brings focus, accountability and practical tactics to quickly effect change. Her deep operational experience allows for rapid creation of operational assessments and tactical plans. She has helped her clients optimize the strategic value of their customer service tools and operations. Marcey enjoys working in the trenches with clients on consulting projects and can quickly bring her practical expertise to each engagement. She has led many strategic retreats, conducted team assessments and delivered custom leadership workshops.

In her professional career, Marcey has held a number of senior leadership positions including Vice President, Corporate Resources - Ontario March of Dimes, Vice President, Customer Service Experience - Rogers Communications Inc., Vice President, Service Delivery - MTS Allstream and Vice President, Customer Care - Bell Canada. 

She has Board and other Volunteer experience, and has been a speaker at the acclaimed Women of Influence series. 

Marcey holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education.
